As kids we all used the “one”,” two”, “three” count down whenever we were racing our friends. Well Bago had a similar count down growing up. You see, Bago’s father “Mr. Bago” maintained a backyard fence to keep Bago in yard. This 7 foot high barrier was a stockade type fence similar to those used around army forts in western civilization (see image below).
Keeping Bago fenced in was a challenge but he found things to keep himself entertained. You see, his neighbor was none other than Wendy Peffercorn and her and her friends would swim in the family pool every day during the summer. One day when Bago was feeling very adventurous he managed to drill a hole in the fence to spy on these girls without his father noticing. Always being a young business man at heart, Bago figured out could charge his friends 3 dollars to look through his peephole at these young ladies; hence the phrase “3 dollar Dewey for youie”.
