This is a continuation of the Olympic Metal Count battle with O-Canada. Today’s discussion:
Mansel: Holy moose! Canada has rocketed up to 12th place with 4 medals. One of them for Women’s Weightlifting. I have no comment on that.
T-Mobile: Actually Canada is in the 30th place with 4 Bronze medals --- not the 12th place!!
2 Bronze in synchronize diving (this is actually not a real sport!)
1 Bronze in Judo and one 1 in Weightlifting (those are real sports).
O-Canada: We now have a Silver in men’s 8 rowing, putting us now in 24th with 1/5 the medals of the US.
T-Mobile: Did you say Canada got a Gold medal?…….So far USA Gold medal count is at 9, Canada is at 0
O-Canada: Yes, but we’re Canadian – we celebrate any achievement…
Mansel: SILVER = FIRST LOSER
Coach: So overrated!
O-Canada: What’s overrated? Being Canadian or achievements?
Professor: Both…Being Canadian and Canadian achievements!
Coach: Canadian achievements!
O-Canada: Ouch – that’s harsh.

Smokes: Badminton isn’t even a real sport, like curling.
T-Mobile: So the Canadian team is not good enough to advance to the next round…. You just needed the help of the Badminton World Federation.
This is unfair “re-instate the Chinese and the Korean teams”
O-Canada: Wow… Talk about anti-Canadian sentiment. Can’t we all just get along?
T-Mobile: The people demand to see real Badminton games played by real good teams……
People don’t want to watch Badminton finals played by losing not good enough teams!
This is hurting Badminton’s reputation – Badminton fans deserve better (all 5 of them)
Professor: People demand that real sports be played in the Olympics…Drafting a letter to the IOC now…Synchronized Badminton should be the sport that is played…Regular Badminton is for Canadians!
O-Canada: That’s exactly what the fans said when they watched the Chinese and Korean teams through their matches… Bring on people who will actually play! Go Canada!
