This is a bit of a stretch but here goes. One day after the 1st anniversary of the opening of Bago Cafe (formerly known as Goose Lane Cafe), the Lunch Gang hired a comedy/magician for the afternoon’s activities.
This highly successful American comedian/magician really doesn’t need introductions (real name E.S.D. Bago, who started his career in nightclubs with an act that he borrowed from Bozo the Clown, both in routine and in delivery). Soon he developed his own smooth style, but his multifaceted talents led him to further brand out,first in movie special effects development (playing characters in a number of B-movies, including Bago’s Island) and then in special effects for stage (he was the magical consultant for the Broadway hit Crazy Eye She Beast! in the early 1960’s; about the time when Picky first tried soft cookies). He also became a special effects organizer in the ever popular show “Chairpocalypse Now”! He’s appeared on the broadcast of TV program “The Dolphin Rider” where he plays the an eccentric, possibly insane, self styled ‘pet swinger’.
This American entertainer who pioneered the use of mass-marketing of magic effects with his wildly successful promotion of SAOB (sucking air out of balloons) is here today to perform his act live. So let’s give it up for mister Balloon Balooza himself...E.S.D. BAGO!!!!
