The heading is not entirely true but true enough for our blog. Today, the Worldly Mr. Smokes goes to New Yasmeen Bakery for first time with an interpreter. His interpreter (T-Mobile) was instructing Smokes on each of the food displayed (Hot and Cold), how they are made, what ingredients they had, etc… and all Smokes kept saying was "I want that one", "I want one of those", "Man that sounds really good" it was a magnificent event to say the lease. His interpreter kept telling him "Smokes you need to pace yourself". Smokes lunch bill alone was somewhere around $38.50. For the others, Bago got his usual donkey ball with a side of humus. We had a guess today, Mrs. ManCave join the Lunch Gang today because all the employee's in her building forgot to inform her they we're going to Wild Wings and when she came out of her office for lunch, there was know one in the building. ManCave rushed her through the line not giving her ample time for food choices (He is going to here about that for awhile). To watch The Professor and Coach make their food choices you could see they were seasoned veterans. They're like watching Donald Trump says "You're Fired!" The move with ease throughout the line pointing and ordering it was something to marvel and will be broadcasted on Channel 2 News with Al Allen. Peach Mango was a different story; all he can think about on Friday's is "Juicy". It was so bad he ordered a 10 pound bag of flat bread with a several pounds of oil soaked salad in which he rolled the bread to look like a sub bun putting the dripping lettuce inside. He mumbled the words "Juicy" after every bit.
Smokes trip didn't end there…the Lunch Gang took him to West Lebanon for some of the best pastries, ice creams, and desserts this side of the express way. This time Smokes didn't need an interpreter where he was going, he needed NO RULES…he knew what he was doing. He just ordered one of everything and promised he'd return with a much larger truck! So as the gang we're enjoying their desserts Bago said to OM and Coach "why aren't you getting anything?" So we reminded him about Lent. Lent in the Christian tradition, is the period of the liturgical year from Ash Wednesday to Easter. Lent is a time of sacrifice for Jesus. The traditional purpose of Lent is the preparation of the believer — through prayer, repentance, almsgiving and self-denial — for the annual commemoration during Holy Week of the Death and Resurrection of Jesus, which recalls the events linked to the Passion of Christ and culminates in Easter, the celebration of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Coach informed The Lunch Gang he's been doing this since he's been little giving up Cakes, Cookies, Pies, desserts in general. OM on the other hand made a self-sacrificed that NO HUMAN MAN should ever do…ALL ALCOHOL and Sweets. We could hardly believe it was well. The man just bought a Kegerator and laid down some serious cash for beer and he pulls off a NO ALCOHOL Lent commitments. Intervention time; it's already starting to play tricks on his mind. OM tells the Lunch Gang that on Easter Sunday he's going to hook up an enema kit to his Kegerator, jam the enema nozzle up his ass, and turn on the tap! And, once the kit is removed, there will be ample room for his new, pet gerbil, "Kegger" to have a home!!! As a side note, The Professor in all his wisdom states "I like it!” Kegger will forever have a new meaning for the LG. ManCave writes "I thought it would be a good name for the little fella"
It was a Great Day at sea sir!
